Trackhouse Racing has announced a multi-year contract extension with Spanish rider Raul Fernandez, confirming his position within the team until the end of the 2026 MotoGP season. Fernandez’s impressive rookie campaign, marked by strong qualifying performances and consistent points finishes, has earned him the confidence of the team. Despite competing with older machinery, his competitive spirit and ability to extract maximum performance have been evident. To further support Fernandez’s development, Trackhouse Racing will provide him with upgraded equipment for the remainder of the 2024 season. While regulations restrict the use of the latest engine, the team will supply the rider with the most recent chassis specification. From the 2025 season onwards, Fernandez will be equipped with a full factory-spec Aprilia RS-GP.
Team Principal Davide Brivio said: 'We are happy to secure Raul in our rider line-up for the next two years. Having seen him at work in the last few months, we have appreciated his talent and I feel that he has been changing his approach to racing and that he is willing to work, willing to put in the effort to improve, to solve problems and this is always with a positive approach. This is something that we have appreciated and it will be very important to continue for our future, having already three year’s experience in MotoGP and knowing the latest 2024 spec Aprilia RS-GP from Silverstone to the end of the season – it will be the best way to prepare Raul for the coming two years.'

Raul Fernandez said: 'I’m super happy to remain with Trackhouse Racing MotoGP. That’s all we wanted; this new project, with Justin and Davide, is great and they have built a very good team. I am delighted to hear their plans for the future as they have a clear idea of what they want to do and for me, from the beginning of the year, it was my priority to try to stay in the team. At the end, I get to be here for the next two years which leaves me very satisfied but, of course, this also means we have a lot of work to do. We will have the full factory material in 2025 and 2026, obviously great news and right now, we are gearing up to start with a new bike in the middle of this year, so we have to make good use of this to prepare for next year as well. '
MotoGP: Who Will Partner Raul Fernandez?
While the 2024 MotoGP grid is undergoing a significant shake-up, 23-year-old Raul Fernandez is enjoying a rare moment of stability. The Spaniard will remain with the Aprilia-backed Trackhouse Racing team for the next two seasons.

This continuity stands in stark contrast to the upheaval affecting both Trackhouse and the factory Aprilia squad. Miguel Oliveira is likely to leave Trackhouse for Pramac, which is set to field a completely new rider lineup next season. Meanwhile, Aprilia's factory team will feature Jorge Martin and Enea Bastianini, replacing Maverick Vinales and the retiring Aleix Espargaro.
Vinales is heading to Tech3 KTM, leaving a potential vacancy at Trackhouse. Jack Miller, currently without a ride, is a strong contender to fill Oliveira’s seat and potentially partner with Fernandez. Moto2 star Joe Roberts is also being considered for the position as the team finalizes its rider roster.
