The 2020 MotoGP world champion Joan Mir was back in action alongside his teammate Marc Marquez at the British Grand Prix. Due to an injury, the Spanish driver for the Repsol Honda Team missed his last three testing before the holiday break. In a lengthy interview with a Spanish broadcast, Joan Mir discussed the current issues facing the Japanese firm, including Marc Marquez's position. After a weekend of steady improvement, the Repsol Honda Team went home empty-handed from the British Grand Prix. The 20-lap race was in danger of being cancelled due to rain that fell in the hours before it was supposed to start. A handful of riders had to pull into the pit at the end of the race due of the rain. Joan Mir returned to Sunday racing with a challenging race. He lagged behind the rest of the pack because of his poor start. The Mallorcan tried to make up for lost time, but he had a minor fall on the third lap.

The significance of Marc Márquez in the MotoGP World Championship is widely acknowledged, a fact that Joan Mir is well aware of. The current colleague of the eighth champion in all categories of the motorcycle championship is likewise knowledgeable of the challenging circumstances that Honda is presently facing.

"He is the best driver on the grid without a doubt and it is not nice to see a driver who is having a hard time who has won so much in the past, Said Joan Mir. "What would really worry me is being in this situation and after this bike won races, this would worry me a lot more. If Marc suffers with this bike, the situation is desperate."

"In some way I have won much less, but in the same way this has happened to me earning much less, imagine him who is used to always winning," Mir begins by placing himself in the shoes of Marc Márquez. "He will also be having a very bad time. Right now what we have to do is put up with this no matter what and hope that we can feel better on the bike."

Marc Marquez has provided an account of his astonishment on the departure of Alex Rins, a fellow Honda rider. Alex Rins, a rider now affiliated with LCR, is set to transition from his current satellite seat to a factory ride in 2024. This transition will occur as he joins the Yamaha team, taking up the position previously held by Franco Morbidelli. The conclusion of Rins' brief yet eventful tenure at Honda is imminent, characterised by notable achievements such as securing victory at the Grand Prix of the Americas. However, his time at Honda has also been marred by a leg injury, rendering him unable to participate in the British MotoGP.

Rins was unable to participate in the British MotoGP event due to his ongoing rehabilitation process for a leg fracture. Honda experienced another challenging weekend in the absence of their key contributor. The final two positions, among those who completed the race, were occupied by Iker Lekuona, who replaced the previous rider, and Takaaki Nakagami, both of whom are riders for LCR. Both Marquez and his Repsol Honda teammate, Joan Mir, retired prematurely. Johann Zarco has emerged as a prominent candidate to potentially succeed Rins at LCR Honda in the upcoming season.
