MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi will compete in the LMGT3 class of the World Endurance Championship (WEC) in 2025. Driving the #46 BMW M4 GT3 EVO with the WRT team, Rossi will partner with BMW’s Kelvin van der Linde and Ahmad Al Harthy. The announcement comes as Rossi adjusts his racing schedule for 2025. After retiring from MotoGP, he began GT racing in 2022 with the GT World Challenge Europe and transitioned to the WEC last year. Driving the #46 car, Rossi secured key results, including second place at Imola and third at Fuji, as well as top-five finishes in Qatar and Brazil. Despite challenges at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, his debut season highlighted his adaptability and competitiveness in endurance racing.

Now a father of two, Rossi had previously been unsure about his future in racing as he worked out how to balance his career with family life. This move shows he’s finding a way to keep racing while spending more time with his family.
Valentino Rossi said: 'I am very happy to continue my experience in the FIA WEC, as last year was a strong debut season. We had some good races including two podiums and we want to try to be stronger and faster. We will work hard together with BMW M Motorsport to improve our performance and be more competitive in every race.
‘It’s great to once again race at some fantastic tracks, that I know well from racing motorcycles, and this makes me enjoy racing in the FIA WEC. Le Mans is of course the most important one, we were unlucky last year, but we will fight for the podium in 2025!'
