Sebastian Vettel to Take Part in Goodwood Festival of Speed
Sebastian Vettel, a four-time F1 champion who announced his retirement after the 2022 season, will return to drive F1 cars this year. After starting the 'Race without Trace' initiative with the e-fuel-powered FW14B at Silverstone, Vettel will use only eco-friendly fuels in all of his cars this year. At the 30th annual Festival of Speed, alternative fuels including electricity, hydrogen, and synthetics are expected to power 20% of the cars entered. From July 13 to 16, spectators at the Goodwood Festival of Speed will gather for a "balcony moment" in honour of Vettel and his stellar career.
The former Red Bull, Ferrari, and Aston Martin driver will bring several vehicles from his private collection to Goodwood Hill, including Nigel Mansell's 1993 championship-winning Williams FW14B and Ayrton Senna's 1993 McLaren MP4/8. All of the cars will run on sustainable fuels to draw attention to the 'Race Without A Trace' campaign.
