Fabio Di Giannantonio has committed to the VR46 Racing Team for the next two MotoGP seasons. The 25-year-old Italian will continue riding one of just three official Ducati bikes within the VR46 project. Despite interest from Yamaha’s new satellite team, Pramac, Di Giannantonio has opted to remain with Ducati, the manufacturer he debuted in 2022. The decision marks a remarkable turnaround for the rider. After losing his Gresini seat to Marc Marquez, Di Giannantonio's MotoGP future seemed uncertain. However, a fresh start with VR46 ignited his career, propelling him to eighth in the current riders’ standings—a notable achievement surpassing his more experienced teammate, Marco Bezzecchi.

Fabio Di Giannantonio, Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider: “Nine months ago I found myself without a bike to continue my dream and today I sign a contract with two of the most important entities in MotoGP; it's hard to believe. I'm very happy to be able to continue this fantastic journey together with the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team and Ducati Corse for the next two seasons. I arrived here almost by chance, but I immediately felt at home and with the team we are doing really well. I want to thank Vale, Uccio, Pablo, the whole crew, Ducati and my personal staff, we have left nothing to chance. We are opening a new chapter, I can't wait. I will be on the track for two years with the official Ducati, we can and must aim to achieve ambitious results. It's a huge project, where I feel 100% involved and we can aim for the top step of the podium. We continue to work, we are growing every weekend: this is a further injection of confidence to always give our best”.

Despite initial hopes for two of the latest GP25 bikes, Ducati’s decision to scale back means VR46 will receive only one bike equipped with the newest technology for the 2025 season.
To fill the second rider spot, VR46 will likely sign current Pramac rider Franco Morbidelli. This move follows Marco Bezzecchi’s departure to Aprilia. Morbidelli will continue riding his current GP24 bike throughout the 2025 season, as confirmed by Ducati boss Davide Tardozzi at Silverstone.
