The Czech Grand Prix will return to the Brno circuit in 2025 after a four-year absence. The historic track, which debuted in 1965 and has hosted over 50 MotoGP races, was removed from the calendar due to safety concerns. The Abraham family, who owned the venue and whose son Karel raced in MotoGP for eight seasons, couldn't afford the necessary upgrades. In August 2023, Karel Hubacek bought the track and made improvements to ensure rider and spectator safety. A renewed five-year contract ensures the Czech Grand Prix will stay on the MotoGP calendar until at least 2029. The exact date for the 2025 race is yet to be confirmed.

Petr Fiala, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic: "Motorcycle racing has a tradition at the Brno Masaryk Circuit dating back to the 1950s. MotoGP is a prestigious global event that brings tens of thousands of visitors to the Czech Republic, particularly to South Moravia, many of whom come from abroad. I am very pleased that we have managed to continue this tradition and that the MotoGP race will return to Brno after five years."
