Marc Marquez achieved his long-awaited dream at the 2024 Aragon MotoGP, winning his first Grand Prix in nearly three years. The Gresini rider followed up his Sprint Race victory with a dominant performance, leading the race from start to finish in dry conditions. However, the race took a dramatic turn with six laps remaining. Marquez's younger brother Alex and defending champion Francesco Bagnaia collided while battling for third place. Bagnaia, recovering from a poor start, tried to pass Alex Marquez when he went wide at Turn 12. As Bagnaia moved to overtake the next right-hander, Alex clipped his bike, sending both riders into the gravel. Bagnaia, trapped under the bikes, escaped injury but was taken to the Medical Center for evaluation. The FIM Stewards are investigating the incident.

Acosta resisted intense pressure from his KTM teammate Brad Binder to secure a podium finish. Enea Bastianini, Bagnaia's teammate, started 14th on the grid and faced a challenging race. Initially struggling after tangling with Jack Miller and Fabio Di Giannantonio, Bastianini gradually fought his way past Franco Morbidelli and Marco Bezzecchi, ultimately securing the fifth place. This result places Bastianini just one point behind Marc Marquez and 71 points behind championship leader Jorge Martin.

KTM's Jack Miller finished 10th but is also under investigation for tyre pressures, which could drop him behind Aprilia's Aleix Espargaro. Espargaro’s teammate Maverick Vinales retired after struggling at the back for several laps. Takaaki Nakagami, LCR Honda’s lead rider, finished 12th and may break into the top 10 if penalties are applied.
