Thriller Miller will continue to pilot the Bologna missile in the 2022 MotoGP season as Ducati has reeled him in for one more year of the extension. Jack Miller and Francesco Bagnaia will be the two riders for Ducati Factory Team in 2022
Ducati has confirmed Jack Miller, 26, will continue in its factory MotoGP team for the 2022 MotoGP season. The factory rider will ride alongside Francesco Bagnaia who signed for two years in 2021.
This season, Miller joined the Ducati factory team from Pramac Racing – a Ducati satellite team. Initially, he signed up for a one-year contract with an option to get signed for the next year as well, which has been taken up. “I am thrilled to be able to continue my adventure with the Ducati Lenovo Team also next season!” Miller said.
Miller’s standing in the current MotoGP championship is at number four with 64 points. That is 4 points behind Johann Zarco and 16 points behind the current championship leader, Fabio Quartararo. Miller took the pole position at Jerez after Quartaro suffered from arm-pump during the race and he still led the pack at Le Mans with two long-lap penalties.
“For sure, he is one of the riders that better knows how to understand our Desmosedici GP to fully take advantage of its potential in any condition, as the recent success in Le Mans has demonstrated.” said Ducati Corse General Manager Luigi Dall’Igna. “As always, our goal remains the Championship title, and we believe that with Jack and Pecco, we will be among the main protagonists of the 2022 title charge.” he added.
