Tata Communications has inked a deal with Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula one team which will help them work closely with the F1 team to deliver high-speed, high quality and secure track side connectivity. This will enable the team to transfer vital real-time data from the two cars driven by Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton at any Grand Prix location to its headquarters in the UK, three times faster than at present.

The improved trackside connectivity will enable the team to react more quickly to developments at the track and help to increase car performance. With the new partnership, Tata Communications became the ‘Official Managed Connectivity Supplier’ to the team. Even Mercedes AMG Petronas team manager Ross Brawn expressed his delight on the partnership by saying, “Having Tata Communications on-site at the race track to work with the team will be a big asset in our demanding and fast-paced environment.”
