Organised by the Automobile Club de L’Ouest (ACO), the race will feature 62 confirmed entries, with six reserve cars ready to step in. Teams will compete across Hypercar, LMP2, and LMGT3 categories, showcasing cutting-edge technology and supreme driver skill. Le Mans 2025: Hypercar Class
The 2025 Le Mans Hypercar class will feature 21 cars, slightly fewer than the 23 that raced in 2024. Missing from this year’s grid are the Iron Lynx Lamborghinis, Isotta Fraschini, and Hertz Team JOTA’s privateer Porsches. However, Porsche Penske Motorsport has expanded its presence by adding a fourth 963, thanks to an IMSA GTP title-winning invitation. Three of these will be run by Penske, while Proton Competition will operate the fourth entry.

Meanwhile, Action Express Racing’s No. 311 Cadillac will feature Jack Aitken, Felipe Drugovich, and Fred Vesti, adding depth to Cadillac’s campaign in the Hypercar class.
Factory giants remain strong, with Aston Martin THOR Team, Toyota Gazoo Racing, Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA, BMW M Team WRT, Alpine Endurance Team, Ferrari AF Corse, and Peugeot TotalEnergies all entering cars. Privateer efforts will also be on the grid, with Proton Competition running a Porsche and AF Corse fielding a Ferrari.
Le Mans 2025: LMP2 Class
Le Mans' LMP2 class will see fierce competition with 17 entries, exceeding the required minimum. Every team will race in identical Gibson-powered ORECA 07 prototypes, ensuring a focus on driver skill and strategy. Five teams, including RLR M Sport, Inter Europol Competition, Algarve Pro Racing, and AF Corse, secured automatic entries by excelling in major endurance championships. Several teams, such as Proton Competition, United Autosports, and IDEC Sport, will field multiple cars, increasing the intensity and tactical depth of the race.
A strong mix of experienced racers and rising talents will add to the excitement. Renger van der Zande, Tom Blomqvist, Colin Braun, and Nick Yelloly are among the notable names. Peugeot reserve driver Theo Pourchaire will compete with Algarve Pro Racing, while W Series champion Jamie Chadwick will make history with her Le Mans debut for IDEC Sport. With top teams and skilled drivers on the grid, the LMP2 battle promises thrilling action.
Le Mans 2025: LMGT3 Class
The LMGT3 class at Le Mans 2024 will see top brands like Aston Martin, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Ford, Lexus, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, and Porsche battle for supremacy. Mercedes-AMG returns after 25 years, adding excitement to the legendary race. MotoGP icon Valentino Rossi is back with BMW after an impressive Le Mans debut. His presence boosts the event’s prestige and draws more attention to LMGT3.
With 24 cars, plus extra entries from Corvette, Ferrari, Mercedes-AMG, and Porsche, competition will be fierce. Two Ferraris wait as reserves, ensuring non-stop action in this endurance racing showcase.
Le Mans 2025: Reserve Entries
Six teams are on the 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours reserve list across Hypercar, LMP2, and LMGT3. Proton Competition represents Hypercar, while DKR Engineering, Duqueine Team, and Vector Sport wait in LMP2. In LMGT3, Ferrari entries from GR Racing and JMW Motorsport stand by, hoping for a last-minute chance to race.
A third BMW M Hybrid V8 from Team RLL is missing from the list, as the team opted out due to logistics. This reduces BMW’s Hypercar presence, shifting focus to its confirmed entries.
