The third and penultimate round of JK Tyre Racing Championship came to a conclusion today at Greater Noida’s Buddh International Circuit with Vishnu Prasad, Karthik Tharani, Dylan Pereira, Diljith and Kulwant Singh winning in their respective categories.
FORMULA FB02: DOUBLE TREAT FOR VISHNU PRASAD
2013 FMSCI Motorsport Person of the Year Vishnu Prasad won back-to-back races in the FB02 category to extend his lead in the drivers championship.
Prasad didn’t start on a high note this weekend, having been penalised in yesterday’s race for a jump start. But on Sunday, the Chennai born driver got his act together and won both of the races with healthy margins.
Yesterday’s race winner Akhil Rabindra couldn't stand take P1 in either of the races but nevertheless managed two podium finishes to stay in hunt for the title.
Guest race and JK Tyre Racing ambassador Aditya Patel showed how its done to his younger colleagues, finishing second and third in the two races scheduled for the day. His results weren’t counted, however.

LGB FORMULA 4 - DILJITH PIPS PRASAD FOR VICTORY
The JK Tyre Racing Formula 4 category again provided a photo finish with Diljith and Vishnu Prasad providing a photo finish with the former taking his second victory of the weekend by half a car length.
The two battled their way all through the race with Diljith eventually holding on to first place, in the same way he fended off Chittesh Mandody in yesterday’s race.
Rangaswamy finished six tenths behind to secure the final spot on the podium.

POLO R CUP: LUXEMBOURG'S PEREIRA SHINES IN INDIA
2013 Luxembourg Karting Champion Dylan Pereira registered victory in the final Polo R Cup race as a guest race, taking the chequered flag by about three seconds from Karminder Pal Singh.
Karthik Tharani took third to make it two podium finishes out of three races. Female Poland driver Gosia Rdest, who finished on the podium yesterday, took fourth place, a second away from the rostrum.

VICTORY FOR KULWAN SINGH IN SUPERBIKE RACE
Kulwant Singh had the honour of taking the first ever Superbike race win in JK Tyre Racing Championship in his BMW 1000RR. Gurvinder Singh and Bhupinder Singh also finished on the podium.
The three riders have driven their superbikes for years at India’s only Grade 1 facility but this was the first time they did so in race conditions.
Despite the lack of experience, the three riders finished a minute ahead of the rest of the field, which mostly comprised of amateur racers.
