At Pune's Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Stadium, the first-ever Indian Supercross Racing League round got underway with a bang, paving the way for an action-packed season. For those who don't know, the Ceat Indian Supercross Racing League is a franchise-based Supercross tournament that was the first of its kind in the world, drawing riders from other countries to India to compete. Exciting Supercross races take place on specially built indoor dirt tracks with hard obstacles and sharp jumps. There are six teams competing in the first season of the league, and they are led by famous motorsports figures like Dhruv Mohite, CS Santosh, and Arjuna award winner Gaurav Gill.
Using a competitive auction, the league was able to assemble a roster of 48 strong racers. Notable names like Anthony Raynard of South Africa, who won four Supercross titles, and Matt Moss, of Australia, who won nine MX and SX titles, were among the final group. Notably, high-performance motorcycles from Honda, KTM, and Kawasaki have been generously donated to different teams, elevating the level of competition and excitement in this revolutionary event.
