The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) has released the season calendars for six four and two-wheel national level motorsport championships that make up the domestic season that runs from late January to December.
Following discussions between promoters JK Racing and Madras Motor Sport Club (MMSC), there will now be two four-wheel series that will hold the status of a national championship. JK Tyre, which has been the most visible automotive company involved in Indian motorsport along with MRF Tyres, used to run the National Racing Championship until 2012.
From 2013, the status of a national championship was awarded to the series run under the MMSC and MRF umbrella.
Two 'dirtier' forms of two-wheel motorsport, supercross and rallying, have also had their calendars revealed.
The Indian Rally Championship, which is likely to start in mid-June with the Nasik Rally, has not had its calendar confirmed as yet.
Season calendars are, however, subject to change depending on extenuating circumstances.
