The next Formula E 2023 race is this weekend, and it's the Rome ePrix on both Saturday, July 15, and Sunday, July 16. This is the calendar's penultimate event! Those drivers who have been unable to crack the top three in the league's standings will have two more opportunities to do so at the Rome races. While one team has controlled Formula One for years, several different drivers have taken home victories in Formula E 2023, leaving the championship in Rome's hands. Formula E is an all-electric version of the Formula 1 racing series that emphasises sustainability and the future. It's also an increasingly cutting-edge competition as technology advances. Rome is notorious for being a high-speed, rough circuit that rewards daring drivers who aren't hesitant to risk crashing in pursuit of a passing opportunity.

Formula E: Rome E-Prix
Already well-liked by the teams in its last iteration, the EUR track had its length increased from 2.78 to 3.38 km for Season 7 (2020–2021). This makes it one of the season's longest courses, perfect for Formula E with its many turns and opportunities for overtaking. Despite this, it is quite quick and undulating, passing through a number of historic places and fulfilling all the requirements of an urban circuit that won't cause too much inconvenience to the people. The EUR area is not the most highly inhabited region of Rome, thus it is airy and green.
Rome used to host only one race per year, but because the infrastructure demands of hosting motor racing events in a city are so high, the city now hosts two races each year.

Roberto Merhi will stay with the Mahindra Formula E team for the next two rounds of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship in Rome and London.
The team took in the ex-Formula One driver before last month's Jakarta round as a substitute for Oliver Rowland. For the forthcoming doubleheader, the Indian manufacturer has confirmed that Merhi would remain a team member and drive alongside Lucas di Grassi.
