Mitch Evans, driving for Jaguar, finished third in the race and secured second place overall in the championship, narrowly missing out on both top honours due to a strategic error. Nick Cassidy's strong season came to an abrupt end following a collision with another driver. The race was completed with Sébastien Buemi in fourth position, followed by Antonio Felix da Costa, Jean-Eric Vergne, Nico Müller, Robin Frijns, Stoffel Vandoorne, and Lucas di Grassi.

A pivotal moment arrived when Evans was instructed to let Cassidy activate his attack mode. Cassidy's defensive tactics frustrated Evans, who eventually overtook him. Wehrlein also managed to pass Cassidy, setting up a thrilling three-way fight for the championship.

As the race intensified, contact between Evans and Wehrlein heightened the drama. With laps winding down, a crucial error by Evans when attempting to activate his attack mode proved costly.
