The German e-Prix has been a staple of the Formula E schedule since the series started, and the forthcoming 2023–24 Formula E World Championship promises to crank up the excitement level even further. The circuit layout at Tempelhof will be redesigned for the tenth season, which will present a fresh challenge to both the teams and the drivers simultaneously. A revamped 2.585 km circuit with 15 turns and additional straights will now be used for the German e-Prix, which is scheduled for May 11-12, 2024. Changes made possible by construction at Tempelhof Airport allowed Formula E circuit designers to create a longer and more exciting track. The updated course exemplifies the enduring dedication to creativity among the Formula E community and promises even more thrilling racing as the electric single-seater series progresses.

Formula E: The New German e-Prix Circuit
In 2023, Formula E exhibited a stunning Berlin e-Prix, spawning 362 overtakes and witnessing eight different race leaders—an unprecedented record for the championship. The next season brings a more extended circuit with more turns.
A more electrifying spectacle is in store for May 11 and 12, when Formula E will unleash its electric drama on a redesigned 2.585km layout boasting 15 enthralling turns and extended straights. These alterations are a direct outcome of the construction at Tempelhof Airport, which gave the track designers for Formula E a blank slate to create a revitalised course for the fans of the sport.
Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Tempelhof hosted six races in the 2019–20 season. The track layout was slightly changed, with one change being a reversal configuration, which added some variety to the racing.
Pablo Martino, Formula E Head of Sporting Matters, FIA said: "The new Berlin Tempelhof layout retains all the soul of the old circuit while presenting new challenges for drivers and teams – putting skill behind the wheel as well as efficiency and energy consumption truly to the test. The combination of fast, medium and slow-speed corners will give rise to a number of different set-up choices, handing the advantage to different drivers in different parts of the lap, while two major overtaking zones mean exciting races are guaranteed!"
Formula E Sporting Director Claudia Denni said: "In the history of Formula E, the Berlin E-Prix and its iconic location at Tempelhof Airport has always been a great and firm asset to our championship. The new layout for Season 10 will create the right conditions for an even more thrilling race, with a faster, technical track and potential for higher top speeds."
The 2023–24 season will consist of 17 races held in 11 different venues, beginning on January 13 in Mexico City and concluding with a doubleheader at London’s ExCeL Arena on July 20–21.
