The final calendar for the 2015 FIA Formula 1 World Championship season has been confirmed and published by the governing body of the sport. Towards the end of last year, the Korean Grand Prix had been announced as part of the F1 calendar, which came as a surprise even to the organizers of the troubled race at Yeongam, South Korea.

A 20-round calendar has now been confirmed that will start on March 15 with the Australian Grand Prix at Melbourne and will conclude on November 29 with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina circuit.

Returning to the F1 World Championship this year is Mexico, which has previously hosted a championship round from 1963 to 1970 and then from 1986 to 1992.

The Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez was also the scene of the championship deciding 1964 Mexican GP that featured a thrilling three-way battle between Jim Clark, Graham Hill and John Surtees from which Surtees emerged as F1 champion. The battle served as the inspiration to the 1966 Hollywood blockbuster 'Grand Prix'.

The much publicized announcement of a street race in New Jersey, USA is yet to lead to an actual race and as was announced previously, India's return to the F1 championship is still at least another year away if not more.
