Formerly known as AlphaTauri Formula 1, the F1 Team has now officially announced its rebranding to Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team, clearly highlighting Red Bull's connection. The squad, which debuted in 2006 under the name Toro Rosso, changed its name to AlphaTauri in 2020 to promote the Red Bull fashion brand, the parent corporation of the team. Now that long-time team head Franz Tost has retired, the team is entering a new chapter under the leadership of former Ferrari Deputy Team Principal and Racing Director Laurent Mekies. On February 8, the team will present its refreshed image at a launch event in Las Vegas.
The RB20, which will be raced by Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez in 2024, along with the F1 Academy entries for both teams, will prominently display the Visa logo, marking its debut as the first global sponsor for the Red Bull-owned teams. The addition of Cash App, which was originally announced in 2021, further cemented the team's financial support, and this partnership is Visa's first major sponsorship arrangement in fifteen years.

Components from Red Bull's RB19, which won 21 of 22 races in 2023 and dominated the whole season, will be incorporated, according to CEO Peter Bayer's recent disclosure. As they get ready for the next racing season, the Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team is making this strategic step to improve their performance.
In the 2023 constructors' standings, AlphaTauri secured an eighth-place finish, surpassing both Alfa Romeo and Haas with a series of late-season performances that accumulated valuable points for the team.
