Formula 1 heads to Austin, Texas, this weekend for the US Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas. Despite two more American races, Austin is a fan favourite. It has exciting, unpredictable action. The 2024 race will have a Sprint. It could affect the championship standings as the season nears its end. McLaren's Lando Norris comes in strong after his win in Singapore. He cut Max Verstappen's lead to 52 points with six races and three Sprints left. Windy conditions and limited practice time will challenge drivers. In the constructor battle, McLaren leads Red Bull by 41 points. In light of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri's strong performances, it will be a difficult task for their rivals to close this gap.

F1 United States Grand Prix 2024: About Circuit of The Americas
The Circuit of The Americas in Austin will host the 2023 United States Grand Prix, a 56-lap race on a 5.513km track. Formula 1 returned to this circuit in 2012 after the last U.S. Grand Prix in 2007 at Indianapolis. Notably, Lewis Hamilton's final win with McLaren came here before his move to Mercedes in 2013.
Turns 3 to 6 resemble the high-speed sections of Silverstone and Suzuka, while Turns 12 to 15 mimic the stadium part of Hockenheim. This is one of few race tracks that can host both F1 and MotoGP without any major changes.
