The Red Bull Formula 1 team presented their first significant upgrade package of the year at the 2024 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. Since the logistics involved in the European race are simpler, it makes more sense to introduce major upgrades to the cars during the season. According to the FIA update submission sheet, Red Bull's RB20 has lots of new parts. Aston Martin, Ferrari, and Mercedes have also bought upgrades for their cars in Imola. In Miami, Lando Norris won his first race using the upgraded McLaren MCL38 and claims that it will be even better at Imola.
F1: What's New?
A new front wing has been added to the RB20, featuring a moved leading edge of the endplate to enhance stability while cornering. The third and fourth front wing flaps now have a longer chord length to increase downforce. Red Bull has also adjusted the flaps by modifying the nose box and reworking the camera fairings to improve airflow.

A few key revisions were also made to Red Bull's on the floor. The team has reduced the height of the primary floor body to boost downforce and improve downstream airflow. Additionally, the forward part of the floor edge has been reprofiled to extract more load.

This update comes after McLaren's major Miami package, which the Woking-based team originally intended for Imola but managed to deliver earlier. Ferrari's updated SF-24, which debuted at a Fiorano filming day, also includes several new components such as a floor, both wings, a diffuser, and an engine cover, among others.
