Mercedes AMG F1 have released a video of how their new-for-2014 F1 engine will sound over a lap of the Monza autodrome.
The video carries the sound as recorded on a dynamometer at the team's facility and video footage from the team's simulator.
F1 is to drop the current generation of 2.4-litre, V-8 engines in favour of 1.6-litre, turbocharged, V-6 units that have been designed with the mandate to produce the same amount of power with increased fuel efficiency (believed to be as high as 35 percent).
You can hear the engine with the simulator footage at the link below, which is from Mercedes' official YouTube channel.

Earlier in the year, Renault F1 had also released a short sound file of their new turbo engine, which was also from a sound-proof dyno room.
Concerns over the sound of the new engines had prompted F1's commercial rights holder to criticize the International Automobile Federation's (FIA) rubber stamping of the technical regulations.
At last year's Indian Grand Prix, however, Ecclestone had eased his tone and said that the new sound was something that people would probably end up getting used to.
