After back-to-back wins with their W15 car, Mercedes is bringing even more upgrades. Both Hamilton and Russell have won a race recently, and at the British Grand Prix, they even dominated qualifying. While Mercedes might not be the fastest in mixed conditions, their strategy helped them win at Silverstone. This victory proves their upgrades are working, and team boss Toto Wolff promises more are on the way before the summer break. The Hungarian Grand Prix in two weeks is set to see a big upgrade package for the Mercedes car. This could put them on par with McLaren and Red Bull, allowing them to fight for wins on any track in any weather. F1: The W15 Turn Around
The Mercedes W15 performed exceptionally well at the British Grand Prix as Silverstone's smooth tarmac allowed for a low ride height and a stiff setup. The team also achieved great balance, making the car handle well through tricky corners like Vale and Club and providing strong traction on corner exits.
Cool temperatures at Silverstone, similar to those in Canada, helped the W15 manage the power unit and tyre temperatures effectively. This allowed Mercedes to use a smoother engine cover without gills, improving aerodynamic efficiency.
