Formula 1 has decided to hold pre-season testing for the 2025 season in Bahrain. Despite some fans wanting to return to Barcelona, F1 chose Bahrain for its strategic benefits. Bahrain’s International Circuit’s layout helps teams to fine-tune their cars in conditions similar to race environments. The consistently warm weather in Bahrain is crucial for testing new components and technologies. This will be the fifth consecutive time that it will host pre-season testing, making it the sixth time overall that the circuit has served as the exclusive venue for this crucial preparation period.
About Bahrain International Circuit
Since joining the Formula 1 calendar in 2004, Bahrain has become a leading force in the Middle East, celebrating its 20th anniversary with the 2024 Grand Prix. Next season, the Bahrain Grand Prix will move to April to accommodate religious observances, while Saudi Arabia's race will be rescheduled. This change lets Australia, China, and Japan start the season, with Suzuka forming a thrilling triple-header with the Middle Eastern races.

The 2025 Formula 1 season, celebrating its 75th anniversary, will feature 24 races across five continents. The season will start with the Australian Grand Prix from March 14-16 and end with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix from December 5-7.
