F1 Canadian Grand Prix 2023: Two weeks after the Spanish Grand Prix, international Motorsport returns to North America with the Canadian Grand Prix - the eighth round of the 2023 Formula 1 season. After picking up his fifth win this season at the Spanish Grand Prix, Red Bull's Max Verstappen goes to Montreal with a 53-point lead over his teammate Sergio Perez in the drivers' standings, while Perez stands second overall. With Verstappen and Perez holding the top two spots, Red Bull remains unparalleled. Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso is only third in the standings, despite finishing the home race behind his teammate Lance Stroll in the seventh position.
The upcoming race is scheduled to take place at Circuit de Gilles-Villeneuve, where Verstappen won a season ago. The Canadian Grand Prix is also Lance Stroll's home race, adding to the excitement around this race weekend. Stroll will enter his home Grand Prix having finished the race in the sixth position at the Spanish GP.

Circuit de Gilles-Villeneuve: Track Details
Circuit de Gilles-Villeneuve is located on the man-made Notre Dame Island in the middle of the St. Lawrence River. It is a 4.361km long racing track with 14 corners. The Circuit IIe Notre-Dame hosted its first race in 1978 in Montreal, where Gilles Villeneuve won the very first Canadian Grand Prix. After his tragic death at Zolder in 1982, the circuit was named after the late Ferrari driver Gilles Villeneuve.

F1 Canadian Grand Prix 2023: Where to Watch in India
The 2023 Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix will be broadcast live on a number of international networks. F1: Circuit de Gilles-Villeneuve and Formula 1
This weekend (June 16 to 18) is the 52nd running of the Canadian Grand Prix, 41 of which have been held in Montreal. Eight of the other 10 races were held at Mosport and two at Mont-Tremblant. Mercedes F1 driver Lewis Hamilton - currently fourth in the drivers' standings - is the joint-most successful driver at Circuit de Gilles-Villeneuve, having won seven times in Montreal to tie with Ferrari Great Michael Schumacher. McLaren has triumphed 13 times in Canada, while Ferrari has 12 times, with 9 fastest laps and 7 poles. Both Fernando Alonso (2006) and Max Verstappen (2022) have also won in Canada.
