The Formula 1 circus now heads to Austria this weekend for the highly anticipated Austrian Grand Prix. Having just beaten Lando Norris in Spain, all eyes are on reigning champion Max Verstappen. While Red Bull Racing holds a comfortable lead over Ferrari, Mercedes and McLaren, all three teams have shown some impressive progress lately and are rapidly closing the gap. Despite their advantage, Red Bull needs to keep refining their car as the season reaches its halfway point. This race holds extra significance for Red Bull as it's held on their home turf, adding another layer of pressure to maintain their lead. An additional twist comes with this being the third sprint race weekend of the season, throwing another variable into the mix for both Red Bull and their competitors.

F1 Austrian Grand Prix: About Red Bull Ring
The Austrian Grand Prix has been a fixture at the Red Bull Ring since 1970, though it took a few breaks. First held in 1983, it ran until 1987 before a 10-year hiatus. Red Bull bought and revamped the track, bringing it back to the F1 calendar in 2014.
Nestled in Spielberg, Austria, the Red Bull Ring also hosts MotoGP races and has frequently seen DTM events. The current track layout is 4.3km long with 10 corners, requiring drivers to complete 71 laps in a race. Notably, Niki Lauda is the only Austrian driver to win a Formula 1 World Championship race here in 1984.
