Aston Martin will unveil its 2024 Formula 1 car on February 12 at Silverstone, becoming the fourth team to announce a launch event. Following last year's impressive on-track performance, Aston Martin had their greatest season since rebranding. This was also Fernando Alonso's first season with the green team, during which they both scored eight podium finishes while placing fifth in the constructors' championship.
Aston Martin had a good start to the 2023 season, ranking second after Red Bull on the grid, before struggling in the second half and finishing fifth behind Mercedes, Ferrari, and McLaren. Two-time world champion Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll will keep driving for the team in 2024. At the end of the 2023 season, Stroll finished six spots and 132 points behind his teammate.
Last year in June, the team achieved a major milestone with the opening of their state-of-the-art factory at the Silverstone location. The AMR24 was the team's first Formula 1 car to be manufactured at the new, state-of-the-art plant. Team Principal Mike Krack has been at the helm since the beginning of 2022 and is responsible for guiding the squad for consecutive seasons.

The rebranded Sauber, now known as the 'Stake F1 Team,' is set to reveal its C44 on February 5th, coinciding with the launch event of Williams. The unveiling of Ferrari's new car is scheduled for February 13th, completing the lineup of eagerly awaited Formula 1 car launches for now.
F1: Aston Martin's New Factory
The team is entering its fourth season donning the distinctive green livery, acknowledging Aston's early stage in its growth trajectory. A substantial financial injection from Stroll coincides with this phase, triggering a complete overhaul of the entire operation. This transformation began last year with the opening of the cutting-edge factory's three-building phase.
When it comes to improving on-track performance, the second building—which is expected to be finished in August or September—is absolutely crucial. Notable amenities include a new driver simulator, a staff restaurant, more office space, and a fitness centre. The last structure will then house a state-of-the-art wind tunnel, linked to the others via bridges. This well-planned timeline allows for calibration before the 2026 rules cycle, which introduces new aero regulations and engine standards, 100% sustainable fuels, and an increased focus on electrical power. In the midst of all this change, Aston will be partnering with Honda as their official works engine supplier.
