According to the source,  he is expected to join Pierre Gasly, following Carlos Sainz’s decision to choose a seat at Williams instead of Alpine. As the son of five-time 500cc world champion Mick Doohan, he has been a strong candidate for an Alpine seat, especially for the 2025 season. While the final contract has not been signed yet, an official announcement is expected soon. Doohan’s recent performances in F1 machinery have reassured Alpine that he is the right choice for the race seat, especially after Sainz's move made the opportunity available.
