For the 2024 and 2025 Formula 1 season, the Indian sports streaming company FanCode has successfully acquired the rights to air the races in India. The two-year agreement, which included streaming on Hotstar until the end of the 2022 season, was filled by this, marking the end of F1's broadcasting partnership with Sport Sports. As the prior agreement came to an end, Indian Formula 1 fans were confined to paying a hefty Rs 2,999 per year to access F1TV. F1 is now again available to Indian viewers thanks to the most recent partnership with FanCode, which also gives fans a cheaper way to experience the excitement of the sport.
Subscription Plans
For a wide range of preferences, FanCode has a variety of packages to choose from. For Rs 49, you can get a race weekend pass that covers all sessions for one round. For Rs 599, you can get a whole season of content, perfect for people who want more. Live race coverage is available to subscribers on FanCode's website and mobile applications for Android and iOS.
For the time being, F1TV is still available in India, but it costs more to subscribe (around Rs 2,500). But there are other benefits to this premium subscription, such as access to live timing data, F1's pre- and post-race analysis, the ability to see all drivers' onboard cams, and a library of archived footage.
F1 2024 Season so Far
The 2024 Formula 1 season is heating up, and fans all across the world are getting ready for an epic show. With this, his last season with Mercedes, all eyes are on Lewis Hamilton, who, in his pursuit of a record-breaking third consecutive championship, will face off against Max Verstappen.
In its comeback after a two-year slump, Mercedes claims to be resilient, but questions remain about how fast it really is. Ferrari, the unstoppable force, plans to take advantage of any weaknesses. Concurrently, the midfield battle is spiced up by a rejuvenated McLaren and a redesigned RB (formerly called "AlphaTauri").
Second practice at the Bahrain Grand Prix was an important precursor to the weekend's race-deciders. Astonishingly, Mercedes dominated Red Bull and Ferrari in FP2 on fresh tyres. Many are doubtful about Red Bull's use of all of its might during the competition. After a small mistake in the penultimate corner, Verstappen fell behind Hamilton. However, there is conjecture that the powertrains, which were designed by Honda, were tweaked conservatively to ensure their longevity. As the pack moves fluidly from qualifying simulations to testing race pace on previously used soft tyres, Red Bull benefits from the long runs.
Many fans are uninterested, which raises questions about the sport's competitiveness, due to this formidable mix. So, who will challenge Red Bull in the upcoming season is the big issue. The outlook may seem gloomy, but if we want people to keep tuning in to the season, we have to keep hoping for some miraculous turn of events.
