Peterhansel has won the 431 km 10th stage of the 2016 Dakar Rally as Loeb climbs back up the order to finish 5th in category.
Cars: On Stage 10 of Wednesday, Peterhansel came in 1st in category for Team Peugeot while team Mate and Sebastian Loeb, who started the day from 16th climbed back up the order by setting impressive times between each way point all the way upto 5th place on the standings. Trailing just under 6 mins behind the stage winner was Cyril Despress who finished 2nd as the Russian driver Vasilyev finished 12 mins and 56 seconds behind the Peterhansel in 3rd. Carlos Sainz suffered a major crash to end his Dakar run for the year.
Bikes: After two consecutive stage wins, Australian KTM rider Toby Price took it easy in stage 10 to finish 3rd, 1'28" behind his team mate, Stefan Svitko, who won the stage with a lead of 0'51" over Kevin Benavidez in 2nd who found the stage "Difficult but good"
Quads: In the Quad category, the South African rider Brian Baragwanath finished just 29 seconds ahead of Marcos Patronelli. Alejandro Patronelli, finished with a time 1'17" longer than Baragwanath to take the 3rd spot in the stage classifications.
