Aanjan Patodia, Jonathan Kurikose and Aadityansh Kaulshi have won the inaugural IndiKarting Championship series in their respective classes.
The fifth and final round of the IndiKarting National Series was concluded at the Wonder Speedway karting track in Noida, Delhi NCR. The series was India’s largest karting event as the season received over 1000 entries till the first four round, while the final round registered over 300 entries itself with participants from all over the country.
In the Pro Senior class, Aanjan Patodia was crowned the champion. Jonathan Kurikose won the Pro Junior class while Aadityansh Kaulshi claimed the Pro Cadet title after claiming the maximum points in the series. The championship saw 15 races across all categories held in five rounds.
Aaroh Ravindra went into the final round of the championship with a lead of a mere single point in the pro senior category. The final pro senior race saw Aanjan Patodioa take the victory after a brilliant drive. Aaroh Ravindra finished second which wasn’t enough for Ravindra to take the title. claiming the maximum points in the series, Patodia was crowned the inaugural champion.
The Pro Cadet class had Jonathan Kurikose taking the title as Hoshmand Elavia finished second, followed by Saatvik Kogileti in third. Aadityansh Kaulshi won the Pro Junior class championship with Aditya Joshi & Mira Erda in second & third respectively.
The three champions have now received fully sponsored drives in the National Rotax Championship. The series saw the competitors race in 4-stroke karts, and the champions will now graduate to racing much faster 2-stroke Rotax karts capable of reaching up to 100km/h.
