Pariat has been signed by Chris Dittmann Racing for the remainder of the 2022 ROKiT FIA F4 British Championship.
Fifteen-year-old Indian racer Jaden Pariat is set to make his F4 British debut alongside Jack Sherwood in Tewkesbury-based Chris Dittmann Racing. He will compete in the final two rounds of the 2022 FIA Formula 4 British season, starting this weekend at Silverstone (23rd – 25th September).
For the unaware, Pariat hails from Shillong, Meghalaya, with a successful karting career. He became the first Indian rookie to score a point on his debut in the Meco FMSCI X30 National Karting championship and finished as runner-up in the series the following year. This was also the time when he contested the MRF Challenge FLGB 1300 and JK Tyre Championships.
This year, Pariat was involved in the MRF 1600 and F2000 car testing. He also gained some experience in the Tatuus T-421 Formula 4 race car.
'I got into motorsport two years ago, and I was mainly influenced by my dad, Atikur, who is a national champion in rallying,' explained Pariat. 'We’ve been having fun with cars together since I was a kid, and my original goal was to become a rally driver because of him, but since my dad has already experienced that, I thought I should try something new...this year I did some testing in MRF 1600 and F2000 before deciding to try something new overseas...the testing has helped me prepare a little better for British F4,' said Pariat.
It's always encouraging to see young Indian talent get recognised on the international stage, and we wish Jaden Pariat good luck for his F4 British debut.
