Everyday Workhorse

If there is something to be said about the abilities of a car, it can perhaps be judged by its reliability over long term use. And by that matrix, the Duster comes across as a very solid product. Having been driven by me for over six months now, the Duster has had no tantrums at all, and as behaved impeccably.

Logbook

The ride comfort and the ability to tackle bad roads is something of a wonder with the Duster and that has meant that I’ve been able to drive it both in urban traffic, as well as on highways with all kinds of road conditions. The AMT gearshift has been a big boon too, as it helps massively in urban traffic, though I wish the shifts were faster though. I’ve learnt a hack to master that though, and that is to use the manual shifter which allows better control of the shifts.

If there were changes that I could wish for in the Duster, it would perhaps be in terms of more power from the engine, since the chassis is clearly capable of handling much more power. And while most people think the Duster’s interiors are a bit low-rent, I prefer the honest character of the car, and the fact that it is a very sturdy, reliable machine only makes the Duster that much more attractive.
