Cool & composed
With back to back shoots, a couple of rounds to the airport ferrying relatives and, of course, the usual daily drive to the office and back, which is roughly 80-100km, this month has really been a one for me and for our long-term trustee, the Maruti Suzuki Swift. As you must’ve figured, I spent a lot of time in the cabin, and with the temperature soaring above 40 degrees Celsius, I also got to know how effective the air conditioner is.
To begin with the seats, Maruti Suzuki needs to pull their socks up and improve the quality of the seats. They are too soft and offer almost zero lower back support. You sink into the seats. The front seats’ side bolsters, however, are impressive as they hold you snugly in place.
Another thing I noticed was that a lot of wind noise can be heard in the cabin. It becomes so evident that my first reaction was to check if all windows were shut.
Maruti’s air conditioners have always been effective, and the Swift’s is not different. It effectively managed to shield us from the unforgiving summer heat of Delhi. The cabin cools down very quickly, providing us with the much-needed relief. Overall, the Swift’s cabin is a pretty cool place to be in to beat the heat.
