Maruti Suzuki Swift Long Term Review, January 2025 Report
While great mileage arguably goes a long way in making a car good for the city, I would say that it’s not enough to make it great.

After focusing on the incredible mileage that I was able to squeeze out from our long-term Maruti Suzuki Swift in the previous report, this month, I want to focus on why it’s an incredible city car. You see, while great mileage arguably goes a long way in making a car good for the city, I would say that it’s not enough to make it great. There are other factors too – which the Swift aces – that I want to talk about.
First, is the seat comfort. While the Swift cannot be as comfortable to get in as compared to an SUV, with the low ingress and egress height. But once you do get in, you will be pleased with the seating ergonomics as everything is comfortably within reach. Add to that the fact that the operation of the car is not something that will tire you out through the course of the day as the clutch is light and so is the steering. Last but not the least, the size of the car makes tackling everyday driving conditions a breeze. It’s easy to maneuver through traffic and finding that ever-so-elusive parking spot becomes a tad bit easier. I also have to make a special mention of the amount of visibility that you have while driving the car which would instill huge amount of confidence in both new and experienced drivers alike.
All of this combined with the fantastic suspension and chassis setup, I couldn’t help but want more power from the engine. It really would have been the eye candy of enthusiasts. But as far as the matter of the head goes, it’s pretty much perfect.
