Maruti Suzuki Swift Long Term Review, February 2025 Report
Not everyone is an enthusiast and neither does everyone dig deep in spec sheets to find out whether the engine has a turbocharger or not. They just care about value for money, which the Swift definitely is.

For the past one month, I have been driving the Maruti Suzuki Swift. I traded the Dzire with Manav Sinha since he desired (pun totally intended) to test it out for himself. I immediately loved how the Swift fit like a glove in my hands. No getting used to any odd quirks or anything of that nature. And isn’t that something that the average Indian car buyer prefers?
Not everyone is an enthusiast and neither does everyone dig deep in spec sheets to find out whether the engine has a turbocharger or not. They just care about value for money, which the Swift definitely is. They want a car that is easy to drive and hassle-free in the long run. Again, the Swift is as simple and easy to drive as it can get. The steering wheel requires minimal amount of effort and the clutch-gear operation can be done without even giving it a thought. Every time I drive the Swift, I feel like I am on autopilot, it is that good.
An average buyer is concerned about mileage and the Swift has you covered there, too. While I was struggling to eke out a good efficiency figure with the Dzire, the Swift had no such trouble. While driving through the same routes and in similar conditions, I saw an average consumption of 18.5kmpl throughout the month. There were occasions when this figure jumped to 20kmpl but only when I found open roads with minimal traffic.
I have really not had much to complain about other than the small matter of slow acceleration in crucial situations. What I have loved every second is just how effortless this car is!
