Two Minds
The Ignis is certainly a funky looking car and it really does look fresh and unique. Besides being a good looking car though, it still manages to be incredibly practical and convenient at the same time. Driving the Ignis every day is welcoming and it’s spacious and comfortable on the inside too.
So far, we haven’t had any problems with the car, but there is one thing that I just can’t wrap my head around. It’s the automatic gearbox. I really don’t like it much, and if I had a choice I would certainly opt for the manual transmission. I obviously have a different driving style, and I’m sure a lot of people would appreciate the automatic because it does make driving on congested roads a little easier and stress free. I just feel that the automatic transmission is incredibly lazy – this is the reason why I haven’t taken it on a long road trip.
Other than that though everything else is fine. The steering is light, but that’s on purpose, and the suspension is good enough for day to day driving. The engine seems to be holding up very well and it feels smooth and refined. The ride quality is adequate, and there are also some decent features in the cabin. It’s a nice car to live with, but it’s nowhere near perfect.
