The Maruti Suzuki Fronx completed a big milestone during the past month – it crossed the 10,000km mark! While I thought I would focus on the entirety of the experience in this report, I want to focus on a couple of experiences instead.
Starting with what you see on the cover of our autoX magazine – a shootout between two luxury cars wherein they are pushed to its limits. During the shoot of these cars, the Fronx would take up the responsibility of being the camera car and additionally, being the scout to finding shoot locations. While my colleagues made do with the two German luxo barges, I found myself happy, and equally impressed, seated in my companion of the last few months.
The next instance comes from a day that I’ll remember for a long time - the 2024 Porsche Experience, at the Buddha International Circuit. While obviously, the Fronx was not the test car to find out if the track is fast enough for titans like the Porsche 911 GT3 RS to showcase what they’re made of, it was simply my ride to the racetrack, and more importantly, the ride back home after an adrenaline-filled day.
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx, in the past month, was part of two very memorable days. Be it the long highways leading to the racetrack, or finding picturesque frames even where the roads end, the Fronx never disappointed. Yes, we’ll get back to being analytical and critical of the Fronx next month. But for now, I just want to celebrate the 10K mark.
