Going Strong
The Maruti Suzuki Dzire has just completed one year of being a part of our long-term fleet. Since, the car has come to us we have driven it over 11,000 kilometres, and while that isn’t much, the car still seems to be in tip-top condition. Everything is still intact on the outside and the inside, and all the major components seem to be as good as new. The engine still feels very refined, I have now adjusted my driving habits to the AMT, and the ride quality is still as plush as ever.
The only slight hiccup is that the brakes are now making a squeaky sound, and they also feel very soft. If there was anything that I still dislike about the car, it’s the AMT and the brakes, but other than that everything is very nice and the Dzire is one of the best cars in our long-term fleet in terms of comfort, convenience and practicality, as well as efficiency. For a petrol automatic we are still averaging 19km/l, which is incredible, and just goes to show how well engineered the engine and transmission are.
The Dzire, although not a flashy or stand out car, is still one of the best sellers in the country, and the reason for that is because of its practicality, efficiency, and low cost of service. Living with this car you are guaranteed something that is reliable and very easy to live with.
