Maruti Suzuki Dzire Long Term Review, February 2025 Report
After nearly 1,000km behind the wheel this past month, I can confidently say that the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire is just about everything you need for daily city commutes.

Everyone in the autoX team knows that if there’s a car built around practicality and value for money, I’m bound to love it. Whether that’s something to be proud of or just my ‘uncle energy’ showing, I’ll leave that open to debate. As the old soul of the floor, it was no surprise that I instinctively reached for the keys to the Dzire, even swapping the ever-lively Maruti Suzuki Swift with Aakash for the more composed, not-so-dramatic sedan.
After nearly 1,000km behind the wheel this past month, I can confidently say that the new Dzire is just about everything you need for daily city commutes. The biggest surprise? It’s the interior space – generous enough for all passengers and easily comparable to cars from a segment above. Yet, it manages to stay within the sub-4-metre length limit, making it effortlessly manoeuvrable in city traffic. This size-to-space ratio alone makes a strong case for the Dzire in the `7 – 12 lakh price bracket.
Throw in features like wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a large infotainment touchscreen, and even a sunroof, and you get a sedan that checks all the right boxes. Add to that the refined drivetrain with the minimal engine vibrations even though it is a three-cylinder unit, and you get the idea. Sure, it’s only been a month with the Dzire, but if my first impressions are anything to go by, finding faults with it might just be a challenge!
