As anyone working in the publishing industry will testify, there’s a month, or two, every year, when you go insane in term of workload and travel schedules. Here at autoX, that usually happens in November and December – not that the other issues are easy. Given the amount of extra content we produce in these issues and evaluate the latest launches of the year for our annual awards, we’ve to spend more time travelling or in office than usual.

After a 10-day whirlwind tour of Kashmir, I’d to head straight to Odisha and then back to the office to send the magazine to print, which simply means that I’ve had virtually no time to drive the Compass, save a few days, this month. Which is a shame really because I would rather be in the comfort of the Compass’ cabin than in most cabs that are popular in our country.

However, with winter vacation for my kids coming up soon, and work load also getting back to normal, I’m hoping to squeeze a quick trip to the mountains before the year end. That’ll allow me some time away from the office and also give me some time to spend cocooned in the Compass’ sumptuous interior.
