The Compass went into its first service last month, and I have to say, I was quite happy with the whole service experience with Jeep’s Delhi dealer. Their service appointment managers were very prompt, and the car was picked up and delivered back to me before the stipulated time. Also, what was most important was to have the noise from the front suspension looked into and thankfully they have rectified it. And once again, the Compass is back in peak form.
Which is quite timely, given the heavy monsoon showers that have been lashing the Delhi region off late. With our ever-crumbling infrastructure remaining unchanged, this means every time there is a bout of rain, there is water logging and traffic jams everywhere. Now, in a normal car you would be worried by the extensive water logging, but in the Compass, I’ve been having a rather fun experience. Knowing that your everyday commuter can handle serious water wading with ease – as Jeep India had demonstrated in their first media drive in Goa – gives you a very confident and relaxed feeling. Given that, while other motorists have been apprehensive to handle the water on the roads, I’ve been calmly wading through with ease.
