Suzuki Motorcycle India Domestic Sales Decline by 11.82% Year-on-Year in February
Suzuki Motorcycle India exported 16,751 units, registering a notable increase of 18.54% year-on-year. Domestic sales for the month stood at 73,455 units.

SMIPL's total sales reached 90,206 units in February 2025, reflecting a decrease of 7.42% or 7,229 units from the 97,435 units sold in February 2024. Domestic sales stood at 73,455 units, showing an 11.82% decline compared to 83,304 units sold in the same month last year. However, exports performed well, with 16,751 units sent overseas, marking a notable YoY increase of 18.54%. On a month-on-month basis, Suzuki Motorcycle India saw a decline across all segments. With 87,834 units sold in the domestic market and 21,087 units exported, the company's sales declined by 16.37% and 20.56%, respectively. Overall, the company’s sales dropped by 17.18% compared to the 1.09 lakh units sold in January.
Commenting on the performance, Mr. Devashish Handa, Executive Vice President - Sales, Marketing, and After Sales, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. said, 'February sales reflect a mix of market dynamics with exports showing growth. Although the domestic sales witnessed a temporary slowdown, our focus remains on offering products that align with customers’ expectations while continuously improving the overall ownership experience for Suzuki two-wheeler riders.'

At the 2025 Auto Expo, SMIPL launched the 2025 Access 125, fully compliant with Euro 5+ emission norms for Rs 81,700 (ex-showroom). The scooter is powered by a 125cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 8.3bhp at 6,500rpm and 10.2Nm of torque at 5,000rpm. The engine meets OBD2B emission standards and is paired with a CVT transmission.

The Access 125 features front telescopic suspension, a rear swingarm-mounted single shock absorber, and Suzuki’s Eco Performance (SEP) technology. It also comes equipped with a front disc brake and a rear drum brake, both supported by a combi-braking system to ensure enhanced safety on the road.
