This growth follows the launch of the Kylaq SUV and the signing of Bollywood star Ranveer Singh as Skoda’s first-ever Brand Superstar, boosting its market presence.
Celebrating its 25th year in India, Skoda Auto has set a new benchmark by achieving its highest-ever monthly sales. In March, the company reported sales of 7,422 units, making it the most successful month since its entry into the Indian market. This impressive growth comes on the heels of the launch of the all-new Kylaq SUV and the onboarding of Bollywood star Ranveer Singh as Skoda’s first-ever Brand Superstar. These strategic initiatives have amplified the brand’s visibility and reinforced its position in India's highly competitive automotive market.
Commenting on the sales milestone, Petr Janeba, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India, said, 'With the launch of the all-new Kylaq, we committed to a 'New Era' in our India journey. The 7,422 cars we sold in March 2025 are a testament to this journey taking shape, and are also the result of sustained planning, efforts, and a strategy aimed at democratising European technology on Indian roads. The customer feedback highlights that Kylaq comes with an exceptional price-value proposition, taking comfort, space, and safety from a segment higher, into the sub-4-metre SUV segment. To enable more customers and celebrate the Kylaq success, we decided to extend the introductory pricing until the end of April.'

A key factor behind Skoda’s record-breaking month in India is its newest model, the Kylaq, which went on sale in November 2024, with deliveries starting in January this year. As Skoda’s first sub-4m SUV, the Kylaq serves as the entry point into the brand’s five-star safety-rated vehicles. All three models built on the MQB-A0-IN platform – the Kushaq, Slavia, and Kylaq – have secured a full five-star safety rating for adult and child protection. While the Kushaq and Slavia were assessed by Global NCAP, the Kylaq was recently tested under Bharat NCAP. To meet rising demand, the company is rapidly scaling up production of the model, aiming to fulfill all active bookings – exceeding 15,000 – by the end of May.
Skoda has expanded its touchpoint network, growing from 120 in 2021 to over 280 currently, with plans to reach 350 by the end of this year. The Czech carmaker has also rolled out fully digital showrooms, online-only sales, the Anytime Warranty add-on, transparent services like the Skoda Service Cam, competitive maintenance pricing, and protection from service price increases through Skoda Supercare.
