Sometimes you get the right things at the right time and that is what I experienced. I had to travel to a different state for a trip and needed to take my riding gear along. For those of you who ride, you will know that riding boots can take up a lot of space in your luggage. Thankfully, just a day before the trip, Raida sent their Tourer boots for review. While they might not have the most innovative name, what they offer in terms of practicality is pretty nice.
Measuring eight inches tall, they are the perfect size for travel. Much like the other Raida gear I have reviewed thus far, they are mostly black in colour but you can get them with highlights in three different colours. Overall, they look stylish and the exterior finish is neat. However, it is the insides that do not look as good. You can see the cloth on the inside is not as premium as the exterior.

Now, you do not get any fancy titanium tips with these boots but that is fine, given the price and purpose of these boots. What you do get is thermoformed plastic to protect your toes and the shoe is CE-certified. So, while this might not be a shoe you want for serious riding business, it can be good for casual tours through the city or even a trip across states. Securing the shoes is done with the help of two YKK zippers and a velcro strap which are easy to use.
Raida claims that these shoes have orthopedic gel padded insoles for superior comfort. The shoes definitely have good padding for your feet and slipping your feet inside is also a relatively easy affair. However, I did notice that the very top of the boots and the area behind the heel are a bit too stiff for my liking. They can cause mild discomfort after prolonged use.

I needed a new pair of boots that would be ideal for everyday riding and also be compact in size so that I could easily carry them. The Raida Tourer Motorcycle Boots perfectly fit the bill in that regard. Sure, it is a bit stiff in places but the overall experience makes it worth the asking price of Rs 4,250. In fact, I would say it is a downright steal at this price.
