Motorcycle gloves are one of the most frequently replaced pieces of riding gear, given the inevitable impact of weathering over time. This means that avid riders are often on the quest for a pair of reliable everyday riding gloves. An interesting option to emerge in this category is the Korda Guard Gloves. A relatively new Indian brand, Korda aims to offer user-friendly riding gear with good levels of protection.
After testing the gloves for some time, I must say that they seem to be a comfortable choice for everyday use. They fit well, especially after a few rides, with the inner liner ensuring comfort in all weather conditions. The outer material is mostly leather and offers enough grip on the handlebars. The gloves come with hard protection on the knuckles and on the base of the palm, which, surprisingly, doesn’t hinder the riding experience. And the fact that hard protection offers added safety in the event of a crash only enhances the overall appeal of the Korda’s design.

For a comfortable riding experience, the gloves have good ventilation, which offers excellent breathability and is great for riding in hot conditions; however, it may not be as pleasant and comfortable in winter. The only problem with the gloves is that they are a bit difficult to put on. Given that they are a snug fit, it takes a bit of effort to slide your hands into them. Also, the wrist-opening strap doesn’t seem to be built for repeated tugging, which means you are better off pulling on the base of the cuff while putting the gloves on.

Available at ₹4,950, the Korda Guard Gloves seem to offer great value for money, for they offer an excellent combination of comfort and safety at a reasonable price. And that’s exactly what most riders expect from their everyday riding gloves.
