A confluence of motorcycles and music, the India Bike Week festival went back to Goa for its 2022 edition!
If there’s one event in India where motorcycles with all kinds of engines come together to create a deafening roar for a weekend, it’s India Bike Week. This time around, the motorcycling festival was held in Goa, as it returned to its hunting grounds after being held in Aamby Valley last year. The earlier change in location was because of the pandemic. There were five manufacturers who made their official presence felt at the IBW grounds – BMW Motorrad, Hero Moto Corp, KTM, Kawasaki and Harley Davidson. But since it was India Bike Week, motorcycles from all corners of India gathered on a small hillock by the sea in Goa, and what followed was a sight to behold.
The 2022 edition of India Bike Week saw exhibitions of custom motorcycles and merchandise from all corners of the country, along with some exciting two-wheel action. There was a hill-climb challenge, in which people with motorcycles of all shapes and sizes tried to take on an incline right behind the exhibition grounds. The incline had deep ruts, which made the entire action as spicy as it could get. There was a flat-tracking ground as well, for which ADVs and scramblers of all shapes and sizes turned up. Plus, we also saw some off-road riding professionals exhibit their skills. And some of the riders really made our day when they started to perform jump-overs with their ADVs over anything they could find. Not only did it make for a fantastic viewing spectacle but also for some great shots.

No festival is complete without music. Both days of the festival saw performances from popular music artists like Lagori and Teri Miko, which certainly added to the overall excitement of the event. However, it was motorcycles that made the loudest noise at India Bike Week. Every five minutes, you would find a group of people riding through the exhibition ground revving their engines to the max, creating a symphony of sounds, which would only encourage other riders to join in.

India Bike Week brings together not only music and motorcycles, but enthusiasts from all corners of the country as well.
The two days of India Bike Week saw people pour in from all corners of the country on all kinds of machines, making it a one-of-a-kind motorcycling festival. It truly was a festival unlike any other. But like everything else in the world, it too had to come to an end. So after two days of basking in the sun, enjoying the spectacles of all kinds of motorcycles and the action that followed, and gobbling up delicious Goan food, it was time to say goodbye to what had been an excellent weekend. But now, I simply can’t wait to head back there next year!
