2025 Skoda Kodiaq Sportline, Selection Laurin & Klement Variants Explained
Although both variants of the Skoda Kodiaq are powered by the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, they differ notably in terms of design and technology.

The updated Skoda Kodiaq has finally made it to our shores, featuring a host of cosmetic enhancements and tech upgrades —with a noticeably higher price tag than its predecessor. It is offered in two distinct variants: the sporty Sportline and the more luxurious Selection Laurin & Klement (L&K). While both versions share the same robust platform and come generously equipped, the L&K trim commands a Rs 1.8 lakh premium for its added comfort and premium features. The Sportline stands out with its athletic design, blacked-out styling elements, and Alcantara seat upholstery. On the other hand, the L&K focuses on sophistication, featuring plush leather interiors, chrome detailing, and a tech-rich cabin. Let’s take a closer look at what each variant offers.

2025 Skoda Kodiaq Sportline, Selection Laurin & Klement Variants: Design
To visually distinguish between the sportier Sportline and the premium Laurin & Klement (L&K) trims, Skoda has implemented specific design alterations. The Sportline model features a gloss black grille, emphasising its aggressive character. In contrast, the top-of-the-line L&K version boasts chrome accents on its grille and incorporates a distinctive horizontal light bar to enhance its upscale appearance. Despite these differences, both variants have a similar front-end design, including a signature butterfly grille, a honeycomb mesh bumper with C-shaped slats at the edges, and slender LED headlights.

At the sides, the Sportline stands out with its black roof rails and outside rear-view mirrors. The L&K, on the other hand, has silver roof rails and mirrors that match the body colour. The 18-inch alloy wheels are the same, but the design of them on the Sportline emphasises sportiness, while the L&K's dual-tone wheels include aerodynamic inserts. The Sportline gets a blacked-out C-pillar, whereas the L&K sports a silver-finished C-pillar. Despite these differences, both variants showcase their respective trim badges on the front fenders.
The two variants differ in finish while retaining the same structural rear design. The Sportline trim gets a blacked-out bumper with a contrasting chrome strip, while the L&K variant features a sleeker, silver-finished bumper. Both models include a C-shaped connected LED taillamps and display the same ‘Skoda’, ‘Kodiaq’, and ‘4x4’ badging on the tailgate. The difference lies in the detailing—black for the Sportline, and silver for the L&K.
Both the Sportline and L&K variants of the Kodiaq share five metallic colour options. However, each trim also gets its own exclusive shade — the Sportline is available in Steel Grey, while the L&K stands out with a distinctive Bronx Gold Metallic finish. In total, the Kodiaq is offered in seven colour choices.
