Ducati Monster Senna Unveiled as Tribute to F1 Racing Icon
The Ducati Monster Senna is almost 4 kg lighter than the regular Monster thanks to its carbon fibre fenders and engine guards, adjustable Ohlins steering damper, and forged aluminium wheels.
Ayrton Senna, the iconic Formula 1 legend, was an early adopter of the Ducati Monster 900 when it hit the market in 1993. Now, marking the 30th anniversary of his passing, Ducati has launched the 'Senna Monster' limited edition, which will be limited to 341 units worldwide. This is not the first time Ducati has made a special edition to honour Senna. On the rear of every Monster Senna, "Racing is in my blood" echoes the spirit of speed and competition. Additionally, the handlebars feature a distinctive numbered plate featuring the iconic 'Senna' emblem. As a special touch, every owner receives a custom cover, ensuring their Monster Senna remains protected in style. Previously in 2014 the Panigale 1199 S Senna model, was created on the 20th anniversary of his death. Senna's close relationship with Ducati was clear through his friendship with Claudio Castiglioni, Ducati's former President, who gifted him with an 851 SP in 1990 regarding his outstanding racing performances.

Upon closer look, Ducati's decision to produce 341 units of this limited edition pays tribute to the racer's three championship victories in 1988, 1990, and 1991. Ducati Monster Senna: Mechanical Specification
The Ducati Monster Senna's performance parts are worth mentioning because they improve the bike's functionality and aesthetics. These parts include carbon fibre silencers, forged aluminium wheels, and billet aluminium footrests. Ducati also uses carbon fibre mudguards and lithium-ion batteries to reduce the bike's weight by about 4.5 kg when compared to the regular model.
Beneath the Ducati Monster Senna's stylish bodywork sits the powerful Testastretta two-cylinder engine, which produces an impressive 109bhp. Fully adjustable Ohlins suspension and a Brembo brake system with yellow callipers to match the distinctive paint scheme complete this powertrain.
The price of a Ducati Senna Monster in the US is USD 25,000, which is roughly 21 lakh Indian rupees. There's no word on whether the special edition model will come to India.
