50 contenders slug it out for a spot in our top-10, to be crowned the ‘Best of 2019.’ The testing is conducted at the BIC, because it offers a controlled environment to test these cars and bikes. And while we do consider their lap times, we use that merely as an overall marker for their dynamic performance, and offer equal – if not more – weightage to factors such as comfort, quality, design, practicality and value-for-money. We put together a set of parameters that evaluate these machines on a level playing field in the most objective and transparent way possible.

Awards 2019

Our experienced team of road testers, over a three-day period, drove, rode & tested all these machines at India's only F1 racing circuit and scored each machine out of a total score of 100 for quality, practicality, drivetrain, design, value-for-money, ride-and-handling, and much more.

The Best of 2019 title was up for grabs for just six four-wheelers and four two-wheelers. After an extensive & adrenaline-fuelled testing session, not only do we present the ‘Best of 2019’ awards to the worthy recipients, but also sit down with their top managements to get a sense of just what it takes to succeed in the Indian market.

The evaluators include our full team of road testers – with over 75 years of cumulative experience in testing cars and bikes – each of whom score every vehicle on its different parameters before the final scores are averaged to ensure that no biases come into play. Our aim is to be as transparent and objective as humanly possible!
