Hyundai Motor India has confirmed that they will kick start the Auto Expo 2020 by unveiling the facelift Tucson. This five-seater SUV receives subtle design upgrades like the new ‘Cascading grille’, longer and more angular headlamps with LED daytime running lights and the spruced up bumpers. It also gets new dual-tone alloy wheels. The upgrade is more evident inside the cabin. The 2020 Tucson gets a brand new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and navigation maps. It will also come with Blue Link connectivity and 360 degrees surround camera view. The current 2-litre petrol and diesel motors will continue to power the Tucson, but they will be BS6 compliant. It will also have the same 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic torque converter transmission options.
The crowd-puller at the Hyundai stall will be the next-generation Creta. This new SUV will offer the same engine options like the Kia Seltos — the twin 1.5-litre diesel and petrol motors and 1.4-litre petrol turbo.
The one that will be quite interesting to see will be the Grand i10 Nios with the 99bhp 1-litre turbo petrol under the hood. Mated with a 5-speed manual transmission, it would certainly be the ‘hot hatch’ of its segment.
Hyundai will also flex its muscles by showcasing their performance line — N brand.
